Frame Type AnalysisFrame type analysis is the review and evaluation of the types of frames (such as I, P and B frames) used in a media file or stream.
Moving Picture Frame Rates
This figure shows the different types of frame rates and how lower frame rates can cause flickering in the viewing of moving pictures. This example shows that frame rates are the number of images that are sent over time (1 second). As the frame rate is reduced below approximately 24 frames per second (fps), the images appear to flicker. Increasing the frame rate results in increased bandwidth requirements. The common frame rate formats are 24 fps for film, 25 fps for European video, 30 fps for North American video, 50 fps for European television and 60 fps for North American television.
